Four years ago, it all started with a screwdriver, a dirty Boomslang and a mail to Razerguy in which Buzztiger asked if it was ok for Razer if he published a cleaning tutorial for the Boomslang: How it all began: A screw driver... Congratulations from Germany for being back in business ! Actually my razer (bought 1 year ago) due high use (frag em all!) was really dirty and inaccurate. I searched the web for helpful cleaning advises, but found nothing. So I sat down with my screwdriver and reengineerd your mouse (I?m a mechanical engineering student ;). After cleaning and reassembling it (cheers for the cool design, virtually every piece is removable!) razer was ready for kicking ass again. Feels like a brand new mouse :) Now, I'm planning to publish my wisdom (how to open without damages, which pieces to clean etc) on a web site. But before that , I'd like to ask, if I have the permission (perhaps some hints and tips :) from razer to do this site (e.g. use logo, explain design).
... and a dirty Boomslang To our astonishment, Rob's answer was:
Great idea. Yes, post away. Nice work. Please let me know what kind of response you receive. The Razer has been a very popular mouse in Germany, and all of Western Europe, but it is difficult for us to repair them from our US headquarters. I have attached some of our artwork. Please let me know if there's anything else you would need. I may post this information on our site. Would that be a problem for you?

Buzztiger started the home page with a small Boomslang cleaning tutorial and a forum. DarkPeanut and Vana joined the team right away. Soon after the publication of the first tutorial, we added some more tips for keeping up the maintenance of the Boomslang. After some time, we began to publish reports about the latest goods and plans. We also added a guest book and a gallery. From time to time we met for some tests and we also visited Robert on various occasions. The team at the GC04 Today, nearly 3000 users visit RBP daily and with a total of about 500.000 pages per month and about 45.000 postings in the forum, the page covers almost everything that can be said about Razer and their products. The Blueprints team would like to thank the community and Razer for the support and the trust over the years. Even though we had some hard times, it was hell of a fun for the three of us. Since Razer is back in business, we decided to keep up the pace and move on with Blueprints to a more professional level: Our birthday present for you is a complete relaunch of Razer Blueprints at 24:00 CET.
This includes: - a new domain: razerblueprints.net - new site build with CMS - rented server - different game servers - community T-shirts - new forum - new download area, ready for distributing drivers, skins and developing Razer's opensource drivers
As you can see, we want to continue with our work as Razer's number one fan site ;), providing a home for the growing community. The site is not finished yet, so apart from the forum, the old one will also be online for some more weeks.
Again, we'd like to thank Razer and all of you for the past four years.
To the next four years :)
