10 am - 12:00 pm
This saturday we get up at 10 am as we will be showed the Razer Asia Pacific Headquarters. After a short taxi ride - well all taxi rides in Singapore are quite short more or less - we arrive. First we have some rich breakfast at Subway: look how tasty it is. Then we take the lift and go all the way up to Razer HQ! Pretty impressive. Would like to have such a cool logo myself! ...

11 am: After seven hours of good sleep, I am still tired. But I have to get up. Apart from last night, I have neither slept well nor enough this week. This is our last day. I hope it will be nice.

11:00 Sleepy face and Australian Breakfast
We're supposed to meet at the lift, but DarkPeanut is not there. After knocking at his door and a short time of waiting, a sleepy looking face appears, time to wait a bit :) Since it is already time for lunch we skip the breakfast and move to a restaurant near the WCG called the Outback Steak House. Lots of Australian stuff like boomerangs and landscape photos on the walls, reasonable prices and large plates, anything else you need?

11:30 CET+7: We are going to the convention centre. The taxi driver is very nice and funny. The entrances of the centre are not as crowded as yesterday, but it is still full inside. We meet Lena, Razer’s press coordinator, and give her some German Christmas sweets. She tells us that the presentation of the Tarantula is going to take place at 2 pm. Meanwhile, we can go to the press centre and get some beverages. |

07:00 CET+7 Time to get up This is our second day in Singapore. After an early breakfast at 7 am Buzztiger and I leave the hotel to have a quick look around in this big and impressive city. It's pretty hot outside - over 30° at a humidity of 88%.Now we experience the reason of our taxi driver's reaction when we asked if we could walk the 1.7 km from our hotel to the convention center where the WCG take place. The acclimatization from the cold german winter to the singapore heat is quite straining. Luckily we'll learn to appreciate the ubiqious air conditioning later, especially at the convention center. |
