Hi,

How is this 1000hz polling achieved? Im currently running Vista 64bit. How do razer mouse work with 1000hz since the usbport.sys is capped at 125mhz? Do they implement some workaround for this or how is it done?

Thanks in advance.

C'mon, someone "has" to know answer to this ?
It says this on the Razer product pages:

"1000Hz Ultrapolling™
A response time of 1ms, as compared to that of 125Hz / 8ms found in conventional gaming mice, gives you the competitive edge over your opponents."

Is this internal polling or does it work with default Windows usbport.sys aswell ?

Please, help me out so I can get the product I really need.

Ah thank you so very much.

Is there any way to declare mouse to a full speed or high speed yourself or is that hard-coded to the driver software ?

Its been really freaking hard to use 1000hz polling on my MX518 (125hz isnt for my gaming) with Vista because of microsoft has released 3 patches already which kill the usbport.sys hack.

My friend tested his DeathAdder and he said that the mouse polling testers said his mouse was operating at 125mhz. He had to do the usbport.sys hack in order to get it to report 1000hz. He also experienced a s smoother mouse movement after that.  This seems to indicate that the reported 1000hz polling support is only internal. Any idea why my friend got these results ?
