I re-installed it a few days ago and started playing again yesterday. I'm hoping for a different ending this time (there are like 10!). This is one of the few games I have played the single player more than once. I had fond memories of when I first played through it but so far it's even better than I remember  Cheesy

Is the game that good?  I haven't tried it yet.  Keep thinking I ought to.

Yes. You should try it. It was one of the best games of 2007 in my opinion.

Awright I have it...and I'm really undecided.  I like where they go with it in general, but the combat is a lot more difficult than I'm used to.

I'm not going to switch to Easy just because of that, but meh.  It colors an otherwise fairly interesting product.

It wasn't the combat that really impressed me about STALKER, it was the atmosphere and levels which I thought only got better and better as the game went on.

I have to agree with this.  That was one thing that caught my interest when I played it for the first time.   The developers give you a good feeling of what that area would be like (well, maybe not the anomalies).   The clouds, rain, trees, random wild animals chasing and killing each other...   This thread makes me want to install and play it again  Smiley

Sounds interesting!  I will read a review and then probably never play it, because my PC is too old and I rarely play games now anyway Cry
