Why would I delete this thread? You asked for a file that was hard to find, I provided it, why make it hard for other people to find the WCAFIX?

It removes all built-in acceleration from windows.

ok nice. Installed it looks pretty good, definitely better than vista's default mouse settings.accel's pretty much gone, however... it seems that it makes the mouse somewhat 'slippery' in lack of better expression. maybe it's just enhanced responsivness but it is a lot harder to focus and keep the crosshair on target. mouse speed is technically same it's just when trying to track something with precision it kind of tends to go left-right, the feel is very different from CPL mousefix. any other mousefixes for vista out there?

This is the best mousefix, you can't improve on 'no more acceleration'.

This fix completely removes all built-in acceleration. Games nowadays often get their mouse input information through DirectX so they're not affected by windows' acceleration, but they might apply mouse acceleration themselves (e.g. BF2, Bioshock).

I'd still like to try different solutions for vista. Can you post links to some other accel fixes? thanks

does anyone know why when i run the install.cmd, it says an error occured when copying win32k.sys
cannot copy file to destination directory.
