Driver/Mouse forcing straight lines? Proof inside! please explain!

OK I've had a DA for a few weeks now, to replace my IME 3.0 that's totally worn out.
I've got everything set so that the sensitivity was Exactly the same (13-14'' for a 360), but yet something just felt different. I've been having trouble adjusting to the mouse but slowly I'm settling in.
Ok so earlier today I was reading a review of the Ikrai mouse and I saw this picture:
http://www.techpowerup.co...ges/freemove_driver_s.jpg
I thought, 'wtf?,' since I'd never heard of this before and I immediately did a test!
This is the result of a 'steady hand sweep' :

Can anyone explain this? Open paint and try it yourself, at least in my case it's really repeatable..
Also, would uninstalling the driver help with this? I'm going to try it now...

I can confirm this, my ovals are flattened prematurely at the tops and bottoms. But this is only by 3 or four pixels. When I try to draw very slight slants, the slants get kind of lumpy as if it is trying to correct my slanted line to make straight but then resigns and continues on in the direction I wanted to go.
It is as though it (the mouse) acknowledges that there would have been pixels continuing at an angle or curve, it just would rather put a flat line there instead. It is very subtle! Try it out.
Here's a picture:

This has got to be the simplest thing to disable (from an engineering standpoint). It's embedded in the firmware, we should demand a enable/disable option!

i think that mouse prediction thing only applyes to laser mouses. but i could be wrong.
have you guys tryed to lower the dpi to 450? also try to use the same polling rate as you did with the ms3.0

For the record, on my computer at work I have a MS Sidewinder (I believe this is laser?) And it has no such prediction, no matter how hard I try I cannot draw a straight line (and it's downright EASY at home with the DA, same computer BTW, I just love this sidewinder for doing my CAD work)

well, this would explain why tiny little diagonal movements in TF2 are really borked, I thought it was me, but I tried with my old MS Optical and it worked as you'd normally expect. Well, at least now I have an excuse for not being able to aim
Seriously though, WTF? When is this gonna be fixed?
edit: driver 1.08/fw 1.25 how about you?

This is the built in prediction/correction in the mouse firmware. Get in contact with the technical support to make an option to enable/disable it... I already suggested them to do it and they said it might happen in the future. The more people who get in touch with them regarding this issue, the earlier they fix it :}

Yes, I knew it was there, but didn't know it was this forceful. I did the same test and had the same symptoms. All mice need it to some extent, because otherwise it'd be impossible to use a mouse as precisely as we do. The DA definitely forces a very horizontal path though
I sent in a ticket with this thread linked.

Get a new IME 3.0 I guess is the best option.

I also would LOVE to have correction / prediction off, or the option.
If Razer really listen to the gamers, I don't think I know anybody who would CHOOSE to have it ON - it's more something you put up with in the later mice, SteelSeries give the optiion to disable it on the Ikari Laser, so they are listening.
I think if it is possible to do with firmware, its an absolute must, asap, for Razer to release a firmware update with either an option, OR a firmware which specifically states, "identical firmware but with correction off" - for example.
Please Razer..
I think it would be good for them to do this (if its possible) to make up for so many teething problems with the DA, I for one adore this mouse abov any I have ever used, however its a pain in the ass.

Just got put "On Hold" and got told some blabber about the new ticket system. I have a feeling that Razer doesn't care, and the less they care, the more I want to buy something else.

damn... the only reason i don't use this mouse is because of the ridiculous overreactive correction.

Can someone test if the Habu does this?
And did you make sure to check and make sure "enhance pointer precission" was unchecked??
That's very important.
