Hello everyone, I know im just another Piece of *censored* asking for help - But you have to understand the situation i am in

OK - So i ordered a custom gaming rig from cyberpowerpc - Waited a few weeks, got Shipped to my door

SET IT UP - ALL WORKS WELL - A few hours ago.

Now i have a lycosa keyboard and diamondback 3G mouse. connected it to the pc

VISTA HOME PREMIUM

All i did was download updates and that was it

Now i am surfing on youtube and all of a sudden

THE COMPUTER LOCKS UP COMPLETELY - No mouse or keyboard responses, and the clock doesn't move at all - I

I had to do an emergency shutdown - hold power for 8 seconds.

THIS HAPPENED 4 TIMES OUT OF THE BLUE

First was 1 hour on pc , on youtube - LOCK UP

Second time i was reading the news - LOCK UP - AFTER 7 MINUTES FROM THE PREVIOUS LOCK UP

3RD TIME I WAS UPDATING MY NVIDIA DRIVER - Lock up in middle of install

4TH TIME - AFTER LEAVING THE PC ON FOR OVER 6 HOURS, I WENT TO SLEEP

WAKE UP. MOVE MOUSE, SCREEN SAVER DISAPPEARS. I LOG OUT - JUST WHEN IM LOGGING OUT - FREEZE!

What in the name of the lord

I just got the computer - I didn't even MOVE ANY DATA TO IT.

It's all STOCK. I didnt even transfer any files or music or anything

I swear.

Specs?

Nvidia gtx 260, Big foot killer M1, creative sound blaster x-fi Fatality version.

3gigs of ram

INTEL E8500.

Someone please help, as they at the company have configed my system and it didnt crash there, why on me.

Is it my keyboard...Am i plugging it in wrong

I SEE 2 USB CABLES - 1 says port....The other says nothing - I plug into back of pc mobo and keyboard lights up and works fine.

It's obvioulsy not malware or anything,,,Becausr its a new pc.

I tried to get to the root...No clue what to do

Howdy,
You sure do like to use the 'enter' key. From the sounds of it you have a driver issue. I would suggest plugging in a normal mouse + keyboard to eliminate (or isolate) them from/as the problem. If that yields no results then I would contact cyberpowerpc's support.

Yep it could well be a driver problem.
You say the only things you have installed are the mouse and keyboard.
I would suggest you remove the drivers you installed for them, they should still basically work without the drivers and it will let you see if that is the problem.
I use XP Pro myself so not up on everything to do with Vista.
You sound from your post as if you don't know a lot about computers m8 but I take it you know how to remove drivers?
If not ask and someone will tell you here.
You also say you were online, I take it you have a good Firewall and Anti-Virus?
If as you say the mouse and keyboard were all you installed and removing the drivers doesn't help, contact your supplier and have a technician run you through a few things.
So many things can cause your problem that you are safer with the suppliers technician.

Ring them, sounds dodgy mate. If it's either driver issues or heat problems.

Heh, that depends how you define "malware" Tongue  I've yet to find a factory built PC that doesn't come loaded with crappy software that doubles the boot time and, in the long run, leads to some daft problem, without offering much benefit in return.

Roll back the system to its original state and see if the problem continues.  Like someone said, the keyboard and mouse will work as normal and then you can eliminate that as the problem.  Call tech support for your PC if you still have issues.

Incidentally, I have found that if I load the Copperhead drivers on my work Dell PC and then terminate them via task manager, my system blue screens about a minute later...  Not on my home PCs though.  (All running XP.)
