Hello guys!

This seems to be a great forum with knowledged people. That's great because I need some help with my new computer.
When I'm out in Windows I'm experiencing some kind of mouse acceleration i think, also when I play games such as Counter-Strike 1.6.
When I'm looking around and trying to aim at the moving target I find it very hard to hit. The mouse feels slippery and I don't get any 100percent control. Sometimes I even feel some kind of small and quick "hacks" when I look around.

I use a Razer Deathadder but also tried a Microsoft Intellimouse 3.0, same problem with both.
And as the front line says, I use a new computer with Windows Vista 32-bit.
At Windows XP the Deathadder just worked fine.

I've been searcing for a solotion for many hours without finding any. But i did read something intresting about changing some registry values, I don't really know, but I believe it was only for XP anyway. My english is not the very best and my computer knowledge is kinda low. So I wouldn't mind if you guys here take a little consideration to that Smiley

EDIT:: I'm insure if it is mouse acceleration. I was playing for just some minutes ago (after all my resarch) and I don't believe the mouse accelerate like "that".
It's hard to explain but I'll give a shot. Some mixture of lagg, hack and acceleration. If I slide with the mouse (while playing CS 1.6) slowly the mouse will do a short and quick lagg,hack,acceleration mixture. It's like the sensitivity goes up (for one milisecond or something) and then down. Nothing like WOAAAH.. just something that makes it very annoying to play.

My best regards

// Andreas

Have you changed your mouse mat, or are you playing on another surface?  It sounds like tracking problems, and if it is not the mouse then it could be the surface.  If the tracking is inconsistant, then it's unlikely to be anything else, although I have seen a virus that plays with your mouse tracking so you might want to run a scan.
