I bought the m100 earphones yesterday and looking at the box it says frequency response: 6-23000Hz which is pretty much average for small phones (ofc they're far from linear but should be able to produce those frequencies). Considering that the human hearing range ideally goes from some 20-22000Hz this should be ok. But today I went to the razer website to only to find the specs on the web are 20 Hz – 11000 Hz... WTF?
This is NOT a small difference! It's HALF of CD quality. Also known as 22kHz or radio quality. Can this be correct?
Because if it is this would mean that the razer earphones are among the worst on the market.
Ca anyone verify this?
Razer?

It's got to be a mistake!  But I cannot verify it for you, sorry!

Well yeah one of the two is a mistake. Just not sure which one. But whichever it is it's false advertising. If I had seen the box saying: "frequency response of a telephone line" I wouldn't have bought it. For 50$ one would expect quality earphones..  Undecided

Don't look at specs, they always lie Tongue
Just compare Your m100 with other earphones [Creative EP-630, Sennheisers CX300].

Well compared to my Audio Technica studio headphone they sound like *censored*..  Grin but all in all they're not all that bad.
I tested them using a test signal (sine sweep from 20-20000Hz) to see how high they go and was pleasantly surprised. They can reproduce everything from some 30Hz to 18kHz, which is more than adequate for music listening.
Still.. Razer should correct the info on the website ASAP. If they know anything about sound, they should know 20-11000Hz frequency response is ridiculous for any sound system today.
