Had the very same problem trying to update the dock in my Vista64 system. No way to get the drivers installed once the dock enters bootloader mode; I had to do it on my father's WinXP notebook.
Razer should really fix this, as not all have a notebook or multiple OS in their systems, and 64bit OS are going to become more and more common.

You guys having problems flashing the mouse in 64-bit Windows, are you booting using F8 to disable driver signature enforcement?

I followed BelligerentBill said that F8 Disable the signature enforcement. Smiley
Then I did the upgrade procedure again in win7 64-bit RC.
This time the firmware updater run both mouse and dock upgrade smoothly. Grin

Signature enforcement is disabled with EasyBCD, will try with F8 next time just to check...the firmware update program installs fine. The mouse firmware updates fine, but when it comes to  the dock, after it gets switched to bootloader mode the driver can't be loaded.

update:
yeah.. slow movement response is much smoother with 1.06 for my taste
I hope Razer continue to keep the option to choose in the future FW.

Best way would be to add an option in the drivers, assuming it can be done.

Signature enforcement cannot be disabled with EasyBCD anymore since service pack 1 if you're using Vista 64.  If you're using Vista 32 I'm not sure, but I wouldn't trust it either way.

"During charging, the battery indicator on the mouse will blink. When charging in wireless mode, the Charging Dock will emit a pulsing glow. Once the battery is fully charged, the battery indicator will be fully lighted up and the Charging Dock will cease to pulse."

My mamba battery indicator LED and scroll LED are turned off.
When I was FW1.3, the charging was same the menu description above - full charge = dock stop pulse.
After I flashed the FW 1.7, I discovered the mouse/dock do not stop charging. The dock LED continously pulse after I charged mamaba for 6 hours.
Does anyone has this condition?

I too have the scroll wheel and battery indicator turned off. I have firmware version 1.06 but also have tried 1.07. I don't have this problem. As soon as I put the mouse in the cradle the dock starts pulsating. When it's done charging it stops pulsating. Maybe you forgot to put the mouse in the off position before you put it for charge?

When I was FW1.03, I never turn mamba to off mode. The dock still stop pulse when full charged.

Never tried charging it in the ON position. Razer themselves recommend that you turn it off.

I just put my mouse onto the dock before bed, leaving it in the ON position and it seems to charge fine (FW 1.06).  3 bars currently as I just woke up.  I do this so I can just pick the mouse up and it's ready to go. :/  Haven't had any issues.

For patching in Vista64, you have to do as mentioned above.  Hold/Press F8 before windows is loading, and choose the option to disable driver enforcement.  Then you will be able to patch both the mouse and dock with the latest firmware.

Edit: Forgot to mention, the reason 'EasyBCD' does not work is because of the commands it uses, were disabled in SP1.  bcdedit /set DDISABLE_DRIVER_something something OFF, it doesn't work anymore, and you need to use the F8 method.

Edit 2: I charged with the mouse "Off" last night, and I just wanted to mention the difference I noticed.  When I woke up, the mouse was no longer lit up as it stays when in the "On" position.  I guess it turns the lights off once it reaches full charge.  The dock still pulsates, but the mouse itself was unlit.

Yes , i am having the same problem as you . The Charging goes on and on and doesnt seems to stop .  whether the mouse is in ON or OFF position , the dock is continously charging it and doesnt show it full status neither the glow ceases to stop . it seems this is a 1.7 FW bug where it continues to charge for hours and doesnt stop charging . looks like we have to report this problem to Razer about bug in 1.7 FW .

Hey Guys,

Regarding the charging dock glowing and the battery charging. I personally tested this out on a couple systems here and could not replicate this problem.   If you are still having this problem send me a PM with your OS and system specs and I will look into this for  you.

RazerlWave, any leads to whats causing the jitter yet? A question is why did razer decide to use the same pln2020 sensor when the problem exhibits in the lachesis?
